Authors from the University of Cambridge have contributed to 21 papers to the 2026 ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems (CHI '26), including one Best Paper award and four Honourable Mentions. There is further Cambridge representation in the Poster, Workshop, and Meet-Up programmes.
The ACM CHI conference is the most prestigious venue in the field of human-computer interaction (HCI), with a current h5-index of 139 and CORE ranking of A* (the top 8.4% of 750 ranked venues in computer science). ACM CHI is hosted by ACM SIGCHI, the Special Interest Group (SIG) for HCI in the ACM (Association for Computing Machinery). CHI was launched in 1982, arising from a longer, storied history in HCI research and practice.
We start by acknowledging special recognitions, exclusive invites, and community service:
- đïž Professor Per Ola Kristensson was inducted into the ACM SIGCHI Academy, and also held roles as a CHI Steering Committee member and the CHI 2026/2027 Technical Program Chair (TPC) liaison.
- Zhuoyue Lyu acted as Visa Co-Chair.
- Xiang Li acted as Assistant to the TPC.
- Associate Chairs (ACs) included John Dudley, Florian Fischer, Per Ola Kristensson, Katie Seaborn, and Danqing Shi.
- Student Mentoring Program (SMP) invitees included Zhuoyue Lyu and Junlong Chen.
